I loved the décor and vibe of this coffee house (located right in the same strip of businesses as Sugar House and Slow’s in Corktown) – very bright and cheery, and hipster-y (and I mean that in a good way, because I love most hipster-y things). The cake and cappuccino I had were delicious.
My only disappointment was with the fact that the music was blaring on the day that I was there, to the point where I couldn’t concentrate on the reading I was doing and had to leave after a little over an hour (I had hoped to kill a few hours there). I generally love loud music – and am one of those annoying people who often watches my TV at the top volume of 100 to make sure I hear every little thing everyone is saying – but I found it hard to concentrate in this context and kind of out of character for a coffee house. Not that being out of character in itself is a bad thing.
Otherwise, I thought the place had great ambience, and I love that it focuses on using local/natural/organic ingredients in its sandwiches and dessert offerings.
